Especially during the winter months houseplants can really benefit from extra light, but knowing where to start when it comes to grow lights can seem quite daunting if you’re not sure what you’re looking for. There’s so many choices with grow lights – LEDs, CFL (compact fluorescent lights) and halogen bulb lights. Each have pros and cons and some will be more suited to you than others. House plants can be grown purely under grow lights, or with a combination of natural light and artificial light. Grow lights can also be used for plant propagations, seedlings and indoor fruit trees. **** I realise I made an error and said PFF instead of PPF (I’m a numpty and my dyslexic brain got the better of me). I correct it when it comes to PPFD, but please ignore “PFF” on the second technical term 😂 **** 💡 GROW LIGHTS I TALK ABOUT IN THIS VIDEO 💡 ** (Should have talked about these ones – they’re incredible, I only discovered them recently!!!!) ** 🌿 GROW LIGHT DISCOUNT CODE 🌿 (Activate the code before using it via this link): https://www.mother.life/en/shop/privilege Code – JUNGLEHAVEN Roleadro Plant Light T5 Red & Blue: WOLEZEK Plant Grow Light: MARSHYDRO TS 600 LED Grow Light: —————————– 💚 CONNECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA 💚 Instagram: @TheJungleHaven TikTok: TheJungleHaven Facebook Houseplant Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thehouseplantcommunity —————————– * Some of the links included are affiliate links, meaning I will earn a small amount of profit from each purchase. —————————- Houseplant grow lights, grow lights for indoor plants, grow light review, guide to artificial plant lighting, indoor plant grow lights, LED grow lights, grow lights for indoor gardening, grow lights #GrowLights #HousePlantGrowLights #GrowLightGuide

    1. Utter chancers talking shite, with a nice website. But feel free to give them all your money for what amounts to a fancy plantpot. Also, not encouraged by the pic of the singed, floppy spiderplant on their own website 😀

    2. @Dave Ed Hey Dave, just wanted to say that I haven’t been paid to talk about this company – nor is that link an affiliate link. I personally just absolutely loved their grow lights and they’re the best of any I’ve tried. I appreciate what you’re saying, but I just thought I’d put that out there as I wouldn’t ever recommend something I didn’t truly believe in x

    3. Oh my, this could be an expensive find. Thank you so much for sharing.

    4. I have the Mother Grow light too and I think it’s amazing! I got them specifically for a Monstera Aurea and a Thai! I’ve had NO issues with my plants whatsoever except nice, beautiful healthy plants

  2. Thank you very much Claire ! I have just bought my first grow light thanks to your expert advice 🍀🍀🌼🌼

  3. You actually need a combination of blue and red and they must be LED grow lights which are designed to provide Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR) which the plant uses for photosynthesis – regular white LEDs have little effect on a plant’s growth rate

  4. I live close to the Arctic Circle. I bought a therapy light to help wake me up in the long winter darkness. I wonder if that would help my plants through the months of darkness? I think it gives max 10,000 lumen at 10 cm distance. But it also has a dimmer on it. At least until I can get a proper plant light.

  5. I have things like PPP, WPP, Thai constellation, monstera siltepecana etc. Kind of tropical species. Would you still recommend purple lights for them? They only get a few hours of sunlight.
They are young plants (started off as cuttings).

  6. Great video content! Thanks Claire and 🐕‍🦺 It is funny that your phone died. Lifesaver!
Dumbcane and Peace Lily will quickly move towards the artificial light. I check to make sure leaves are not near because, as you said “the leaves will burn”.

  7. Hola!! Me encantan tus videos!! Pero hablás demasiado rápido y no puedo seguir el traductor!! Jeje!! Crees que puedes solucionarlo para los que hablamos en español?? Un abrazo fuerte desde Argentina!! ❤️🇦🇷
